Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Bagdogra

On arrival at Bagdogra Airport/ New Jalpaiguri Railway Station, our local tour representative will meet you at the specified area and transfer you to Kalimpong (75 kms, approx. 1.5 hours drive). Kalimpong is an enchanting destination tucked away in tranquil settings near Darjeeling. On arrival, check in at hotel and relax. Later after some rest, you can step out and take a walk in the nearby areas to witness the beauty of the place.

Day 2 Kalimpong- Drive to Gangtok

Wake up to one of the most tranquil mornings and enjoy breakfast. Proceed for local sightseeing of Kalimpong. Visit Dello, also known as Deolo Hill, a small and peaceful Himalayan hamlet. Further to Orchid Nursery to see a wide variety of orchids blooming in a large area. Feel the enlightened radiance at Dr. Grahams Home, the famous temple Mangal Dham and the Buddhist monastery, located atop Durpin Hill. Return to hotel, check out and drive to Gangtok. On arrival, check in at hotel and relax.

Day 3 Gangtok- Tsomgo Lake Day Excursion

Wake up to a beautiful morning and take a fill at morning breakfast. Today we’ll go for a day excursion to Tsomgo Lake (Timing will depend on the issuance of Permit). Situated at a height of 3,780 meters with an average depth of 50 ft, the lake offers serene and breathtaking beauty with sparkling blue water. Just on the lake side, visit the Baba Mandir, temple of Lord Shiva built in memory of sepoy Harbhajan Singh. Primula flowers and other alpine plantation provide an immaculate beauty to this place. Till April it is full of snow and lay frozen. Later return back to hotel in Gangtok and retire in your cozy bed for a relaxed sleep.

Day 4 Gangtok- Drive to Darjeeling

Rise to a beautiful morning and take a fill at breakfast. Check out from the hotel and set out to cover breathtaking sights of Gangtok. See the Rumtek Monastery, Do-Dul-Chorten (Stupa), Directorate of Handicrafts and Handlooms and Research Institute of Tibetology (both closed on Sunday). After the tour, proceed for further drive to Darjeeling (100 kms, approx 2.5 hours drive). On arrival, check in at hotel and relax. Rest of the day is at own leisure. In the evening you can step out and stroll in the nearby areas to get the feel of the place. Catch an early sleep today as you are required to wake up very early next morning.

Day 5 Darjeeling- Local Sightseeing

Today early morning at 4.00 AM, step out to visit Tiger Hill, the famous spot to witness a beautiful sunrise with amazing colour effects on Mt. Kanchendzonga, world’s third highest peak. Also visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop while returning back to the hotel. Take a fill at morning breakfast at hotel and later proceed to visit the most famous 7 points that Darjeeling offers. It includes the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute & PN Zoological Park (both closed on Thursday), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Self Help Refugee Centre (closed on Sunday), Tea Garden (outer views), Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda & Ropeway (operational, ropeway ride charges to be paid directly by the guest). Later, evening is free at leisure. You can explore the local markets in this time.

Day 6 Darjeeling- Drive Mirik- Darjeeling

Wake up to a beautiful morning, take a fill at morning breakfast and drive to Mirik (60kms, 2.5 hours drive one way). Mirik is a small yet picturesque hill station located 5100ft (1761m) above sea level. It is a spectacular drive to Mirik through fascinating tea gardens and pine forests. Visit the beautiful lake surrounded by forested hills on all sides and mesmerising views of Mt Kanchenjunga. Here you can enjoy boating and horse riding (direct payment by guest for both). Later in the afternoon return back to Darjeeling via Pashupati Market on Nepal India border (need extra vehicle to enter into the market, direct payment). Evening is free on your own.

Day 7 Darjeeling- Departure at Bagdogra

Today morning, laze up in your cozy bed followed by an extensive breakfast. Later check out from the hotel and transfer to Bagdogra Airport/ New Jalpaiguri Railway Station for your return/onward journey.
